Samantha Talarico (she/her/hers) is the Communication Manager based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, serving our national team communication initiatives.


Before joining SADD in 2024, Sam dedicated herself to a mission of advocacy and creating positive change based on the needs of her community. Sam obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology with a focus on Forensic Osteology before discovering her passion for Human Rights. She received a Master's Degree in Child and Family Studies, focusing her research on the experiences of youth and families who experienced Human Exploitation. In addition, Sam served as a Community Education, Advocacy, and Outreach Intern. While in her Master's Program, she worked in research centers and associate teaching positions specializing in International Parenting Techniques and Early Childhood Experiences. Sam dedicated the last 4 years of her career to working as a Family Intervention Specialist in Memphis, Tennessee, and as a Foster Care Trainer/Recruiter to serve youth and families directly.


In her free time, Sam travels to photograph weddings and elopements, participating in community development groups, consulting with brand and website design, and cuddling with her 4 fur babies. She is an avid music lover and audiobook enthusiast. Sam currently plays on recreational softball, volleyball and dodgeball teams too!


Fun Fact: Sam completed every Escape Room in Memphis, Tennessee before moving in 2023, and is on a mission to beat all of the Escape Rooms in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
