Dylan Ivy, CPP, is a nonprofit executive and Certified Prevention Professional in Louisiana with expertise in youth engagement, program implementation, and leadership development. A graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in Business Management, Dylan is a native of Denham Springs and a Denham Springs High School graduate, where his involvement in SADD as a student sparked his passion for youth leadership and prevention. Following high school, he co-founded Livingston Parish SADD, which he now leads as Executive Director, overseeing daily operations and evidence-based programs serving more than 27,000 students across Livingston Parish.
Dylan began his prevention career in traffic safety, with a particular focus on occupant protection and youth engagement initiatives such as SADD’s Rock the Belt. He has developed NHTSA-funded traffic safety programs designed to engage underserved communities, including Hispanic youth. He has also created numerous SADD activities and programs that have received national recognition, including Livingston Parish SADD’s annual Safety and Prevention Summer Camp and, most recently, the MERGE Initiative, a parent-youth communication program designed to create meaningful conversations around traffic safety.
His work has expanded into substance use prevention, with a focus on preventing alcohol, tobacco, and drug use at the local coalition level. Dylan has led coalition efforts in three communities, building partnerships that have resulted in state-level funding and, most recently, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Drug-Free Communities grant to sustain community substance use prevention efforts among youth in Livingston Parish.
Dylan’s leadership within SADD extends beyond Livingston Parish. Previously, he served as Louisiana SADD State Coordinator and a SADD National Board member. He now serves as a consultant supporting youth and adult leaders across the country. He works closely with SADD National’s Student Leadership Council, helping students develop and implement community-level projects and national initiatives while strengthening their leadership skills. His approach is grounded in the belief that young people should have a meaningful voice and a seat at any table.
Outside of his professional work, Dylan is married to Kaylan and is the proud father of his daughter, Elliana, and son, Roman.
