MEET honda
SADD and Honda have partnered to bring It’s More Than Just a License and other mobility-safety programs to thousands of students nationwide. Together, we equip young people with the leadership skills and real-world knowledge needed to prevent distraction and create safer roads for everyone.
Through hands-on learning, peer-to-peer engagement, and resources designed for and with students, this partnership has helped youth better understand the responsibilities that come with driving, riding, and walking safely. SADD and Honda are working together to reach even more communities, bridging gaps, supporting inclusivity, and strengthening student-led safety education.

Honda’s free, accessible mobility-safety programming gives every SADD chapter the tools, training, and support to lead meaningful change in their schools and communities. By removing barriers and expanding bilingual resources, this opportunity helps ensure all students can engage in lifesaving safety education.

This series of classroom friendly lessons helps students understand the responsibilities of safe mobility, beyond just earning a license. With bilingual toolkits and peer-driven activities, the program builds awareness, confidence, and leadership around distraction prevention and safe road behaviors.

Distract-o-trac
Distract-O-Trac is a peer-led activation that helps middle and high school students understand how distraction affects reaction time, decision-making, and overall safety behind the wheel or on foot. Through hands-on challenges and guided reflection, students experience the real impact of digital, social, and environmental distractions, building awareness and confidence to speak up and make safer choices.
glow + go
Glow + Go is an engaging, movement-based activity designed for elementary learners to build awareness of safe walking behaviors. Using high-visibility materials and simple prompts, students explore how to stay visible, avoid distractions, and navigate their environment safely. This mega-energy lesson helps young children develop lifelong safety habits in a fun and memorable way.
LICENSE TO LEAD
License to Lead is a SADD National initiative powered by Honda that equips young people with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become safety leaders in their schools and communities. Through bilingual mobility and safety lessons, peer-led activities such as Distract-O-Track and Glow + Go, leadership development modules, and real-world activation opportunities, students learn how to reduce distractions, promote safe driving and walking habits, and inspire change among their peers. This free, accessible series helps chapters build capacity, strengthen youth voice, and create lasting impact, one student leader at a time.
