Lauren Zimmerman-Meade (she/her/hers) oversees our Field Engagement team out of the Empire State, New York! Previously serving as the New York State SADD Coordinator & Northeast Regional Manager, Lauren works to build and grow our network of SADD students & adult allies, and support the fantastic field team in all of their efforts to build SADD’s capacity across the Nation.


Prior to joining SADD in 2019, Lauren worked in a host of other advocacy and youth-centered prevention spaces, serving as the Director of Community Engagement for Planned Parenthood of the North Country New York and Education Coordinator for Parents for Megan’s Law & The Crime Victims Center.  Lauren earned a Master's degree from the University at Albany and has presented at various national conferences in the youth prevention sphere. She is a proud SADD Alumni and truly has a passion for working with our young leaders across SADD Nation to create change.


In her free time, she volunteers with agencies focused on the fight against breast cancer, increasing equity for all, and expanding voter access, as well as mentoring students through her college Alumni Association.


She’s an obsessed dog mom that enjoys reading, gardening, hiking, traveling, watching hockey, and trying to finish a never ending list of DIY home projects.
