Drug-Free Action Alliance is a statewide, private, nonprofit prevention agency founded in 1987 in Ohio to educate key leaders about the problems facing their communities and to provide the resources needed to take action, including delivering up-to-date information and developing initiatives that serve the immediate needs of those working to prevent substance abuse.  With young people as the primary target population, they also engage in efforts to promote healthy lifestyles citizens of all ages.  The Alliance forms partnerships with businesses, community members, substance abuse prevention professionals, policy makers, law enforcement, school personnel, and, most important, parents to provide leadership and foster networks to promote safe and drug-free communities.  The site is Ohio-specific, but its valuable information can be used elsewhere. drugfreeactionalliance.org/main.php
