SADD STUDENT LEADER MEETS WITH
Marlborough, MA –Jacob Holm, a resident of Rural Valley City, N.D., and 2007-2008 member of the SADD National Student Leadership Council, met with Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.) at his office in Washington, D.C., earlier this month. Holm was in town attending a CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America) meeting.
“As a member of the SADD Student Leadership Council, I strive to make a difference and influence teens across the nation to make better life choices,” Holm said. “It was an honor to once again work with Senator Dorgan, who has provided critical support and leadership surrounding the issue of traffic safety, particularly issues involving young people.”
A freshman at North Dakota State University, Holm has been a dedicated member of SADD for five years and is currently on the Executive Committee of the SADD National Student Leadership Council. He has served as the primary student spokesperson for North Dakota SADD and was the 2006-2007 North Dakota SADD Student of the Year.
SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) is a national student-based organization with chapters in thousands of middle schools, high schools, and colleges across the country. Its mission is to provide students with youth education, prevention, and activism tools to effectively address issues such as underage drinking, substance abuse, impaired driving, and teen violence and suicide.
