Create a BUZZ in your school! Buzzcheck is a social marketing campaign for youth by youth. The campaign includes a website, videos & a discussion guide to help students facilitate classroom discussions. The goal of Buzzcheck is to encourage students to question common myths and assumptions about teen drinking – including the impact of peer pressure and the social consequences of drinking – and ultimately build skills to resist drinking alcohol.

Buzzcheck was presented at the 2010 Community Anti-Drug Coalition of America (CADCA) conference and the 2011 Office of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) conference. We know this campaign will be an exciting way for your chapter to make your voices heard and educate your friends and about underage drinking.

The kit costs $75 (plus $15 shipping and handling) and provides all of the tools you will need to implement Buzzcheck including:

  1. Materials to launch the website in your school (mock Facebook posters, postcards and pencils),
  2. A DVD of the video “situations,”
  3. A campaign timeline, and
  4. The discussion guide.
