SADD Partnership with DCH Auto Group
SADD has partnered with DCH Auto Group to explore ways to educate teens and their families and enhance teen safety in the communities served by DCH dealerships. DCH is a group of 26 (and growing) auto dealerships in the New York tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut) and in Southern California. SADD and DCH are working together to establish new SADD chapters and to expand existing chapters.
To kick off the new partnership, students from four schools attended the 2008 SADD National Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, thanks to funding from DCH. At the conference, the students were given tools to bring back to their chapters, such as programming strategies, chapter development, and effective leadership techniques. In 2009, DCH plans to expand this program into more schools by helping them develop successful, sustainable SADD chapters, and sponsoring students from each of those schools to attend the SADD National Conference in Washington, DC.
DCH has made an investment in teen driving safety and education through deeper commitments to the communities in which its dealerships operate and its employees and customers live. SADD welcomes this opportunity to work with DCH to develop a program to reinforce the organizations’ shared commitment to teen health and safety with strong family support. DCH is SADD’s exclusive auto dealer partner in the New York tri-state area and in Southern California.
