New Youth Leadership
In June, SADD announced Deanna Boucher of Lowell, Massachusetts, as the 2011-2012 SADD National Student of the Year. Boucher is the youth spokesperson for the organization, serving with a student leadership council of 9 extraordinary peers whose terms began this past July.

Lowell, Massachusetts
Graduating from the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, last May, Deanna had been an active SADD student since she was a freshman there. She had been both secretary and co-president of her local chapter, served on the Massachusetts SADD Student Advisory Board (SAB), and served as a member of the 2010-2011 SADD National Student Leadership Council, helping to plan and implement the successful SADD National Conference in Chicago, Illinois, last June. While at Notre Dame, Deanna was instrumental in planning many of her SADD chapter’s activities including Grim Reaper Day, Rachel’s Challenge, and the @15 Exchange fundraiser. She is an avid dancer, having served as co-captain and student assistant of the Dance Expressions Ensemble. She has also been a volunteer for St. Patrick’s Parish Youth Choir. Deanna is attending Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania, studying Photography.
Michael Brown
Inwood, West Virginia
Michael is a senior at Musselman High School in Inwood, West Virginia, where he has been a dedicated SADD student for the past three years. Michael has served on the West Virginia SADD Student Leadership Council and continues to be instrumental in the planning of many of his SADD chapter’s activities, such as fundraising initiatives, diversity training, and collaboration with TATU (Teens Against Tobacco Use). He is also a member of the RAZE Crew, Outdoor Club, and the Diversity Club, and has worked extensively with MADD and Mothers Against Heroin. In the fall, Michael plans to attend Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
Sierra Davila
Norwich, Kansas
Sierra is a freshman at Kansas State University. A recent graduate of Norwich High School (also in Kansas), Sierra had been active in SADD during the past four years – serving in various capacities such as a member of the Norwich SADD Board and as secretary of the Kansas SADD Student Leadership Council. Sierra has been a Forensics Team member, Scholar’s Bowl member, and has served as a member of the Kansas Masonic All-State Band.
Jacob Dickey

Gibson City, Illinois
Jacob is a freshman at University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign. A recent graduate of Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley High School (also in Illinois), Jacob was a dedicated SADD student over his four years there. A local and statewide advocate, Jacob served as a member of Shriner’s Children’s Hospital Safe Driving Coalition, the National Safety Council’s Illinois Teen Safe Driving Coalition, and served as the Gibson City Police Department Safety Town Coordinator. He was also a member of the GCMS High School Band and the Gibson City Community Band; he had the honor of serving as a member of the National John Philip Sousa Collegiate Honors Band, touring eight European countries.
Bryan Epstein
Freehold, New Jersey
Bryan is a junior at Freehold Township High School and has been active in SADD for three years. Bryan’s SADD chapter is sponsored by SADD’s national partner, DCH Auto Group, and receives resources and technical assistance from the partnership. Bryan is the president of his school’s Distracted Driving Team, representative to the Juvenile Conference Committee, and a member of the NOYS (National Organizations for Youth Safety) Distracted Driving Leadership Prevention Team in Washington, D.C. In addition, Bryan is a member of the New Jersey Distracted Driving State Coalition. He is a member of the Jewish Student Union and is an avid ballroom dancer.
Anesia Estrada

Casa Grande, Arizona
Anesia is a junior at Casa Grande Union High School where she has been devoted to SADD activities over the past three years. Among the highlights, she has assisted with Anti-Drug Rallies and Anti-Crime Night benefitting her school and community. Anesia is also a member of the Student Council, Business Operations, and the band. She has served as a guest teen blogger for the “Above the Influence” campaign sponsored by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). In addition, she serves as a student representative on the Casa Grande Alliance and is a recipient of the City of Casa Grande Youth Commission Youth Leadership Award.
Austin Laudenslager
Halifax, Pennsylvania
Austin is a junior at the Halifax Area High School. A dedicated SADD student for two years, Austin has participated in the Aevidum project promoting suicide prevention, Red Ribbon Week, Project Sticker Shock, and Lights on for Life. In addition, Austin is a member of the Student Council, Communities That Care, and offers aid with afterschool programming. He has assisted with the Halifax Church Christmas Food Drive, the “Bridging the Gap” Senior Program, and is active in Community Day planning.
Paige Meyer
Perham, Minnesota
Paige is a freshman at Jamestown College in Jamestown, North Dakota. A recent graduate of Minnesota’s Perham School, Paige was active in her SADD chapter over the past four years. During her senior year, she served as Vice President of the Chapter and as a member of the Northern Lights (tri-state) SADD Advisory Board. She participated in the “Pack-It-Up” Anti-Tobacco Road Trip, Teen Driving Summit, and presented workshops at numerous Northern Lights SADD conferences. Paige has been a student at the Academy of Classical Ballet for nine years, is a concert choir soloist, and has earned leading roles in multiple musicals.
Mallory Orr
San Diego, California
Mallory is now a freshman at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. A recent graduate of Helix Charter High School in California, Mallory was actively involved in SADD during her senior year – serving as president of the newly-chartered Chapter, sponsored by SADD’s national partner, DCH Auto Group. During that time, Mallory assisted in the planning and implementation of multiple school-wide assemblies including alcohol awareness, drunk driving, and Red Ribbon Week. She also worked with local law enforcement officers in conducting seatbelt checks on the school’s parking lot. In addition, Mallory is a Peer Tutor, has volunteered for the Meals on Wheels organization, and served as an ambassador for the Hugh O’Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership program.
Rachel Pishtek
Brocket, North Dakota
Rachel is a freshman at Concordia College in Minnesota. A recent graduate of Lakota High School in North Dakota, she’d been a dedicated SADD student for four years, having served two years as a member of the Northern Lights (tri-state) SADD Advisory Board. She also served as a cast member of the “Pack It Up” program (a well-received traveling anti-tobacco road show) and was the host of the Rach and Beth SADD Chat. Rachael won numerous musical talent awards during her high-school years and participated in volleyball and basketball for four years.
Jessica Roscoe

New Rockford, North Dakota
Jessica Roscoe of New Rockford, North Dakota, served as SADD National’s 2010-2011 Student of the Year and now helps guide the council as their Youth Advisor. Jessica is a sophomore at Concordia College in Minnesota.
Jessica has been extremely active in SADD on the national, state, and local levels and has shown extraordinary leadership. In 2009, Jessica served as the Northern Lights Student of the Year; has been a passionate advocate for policy change, providing testimony during legislative committee hearings and initiating letters to policymakers; and continues to serve as a remarkable youth spokesperson for SADD at national youth health and safety conferences and media events. In the summer of 2011, Jess had the opportunity to intern at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in Washington, D.C., as yet another part of her SADD experience.
